Mzansi Magic has announced a brand new telenovela, My Brother’s Keeper, which will replace Gomora when it comes to an end in October after Season 4.
The telenovela stars Wiseman Mncube, Sdumo Mtshali, Zola Nombona, Nkanyiso Mchunu, Rosemary Zimu, Lindani Nkosi and Nelisa Mchunu.
The story revolves around Nqubeko (Mncube), an assertive and ambitious son of a mistress who refuses to linger in the shadows any longer. Nqubeko decides to challenge the norms by pursuing his brother’s widow, Fakazile (Nombona). Fakazile wields the reins of the Shabalala family empire, making her a formidable figure in their world.
Nqubeko’s relentless pursuit of power and his yearning for his father’s approval set the stage for a showdown with his four half-brothers. Their fierce confrontation threatens to dismantle the Shabalala dynasty and jeopardize their collective future. The story delves into the corrosive impact of greed and ambition.
The cast also cast includes Vuyiseka Cawe, Hlengiwe Lushaba-Madlala, Sparky Xulu, Raphael Griffiths, and Nthabiseng Kgosana.
This telenovela by Rhythm World (the makers of ‘Umkhokha’) will make its debut on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) on Monday, 23 October, at 19:30.
