The 2022 Scouting Menswear Winners, REFUSE, founded by Tebogo Makgope and Minenhle Memela, are delighted to unveil their latest limited-edition collection in collaboration with the renowned retailer, Mr Price.
The collection is aptly named ‘uMsamo’.
Since 2016, REFUSE has been revolutionizing the realm of local menswear with its distinctive blend of African-infused streetwear infused with a touch of luxury. Their remarkable talent was acknowledged last year when the design duo clinched the prestigious Scouting Menswear Design prize at SA Fashion Week. This triumph has paved the way for them to exhibit their creations on a global stage, including the highly anticipated Milan Fashion Week in September 2023.
Consisting of 18 pieces, the uMsamo collection features standout pieces like a denim-on-denim set with a matching bucket hat, utility gilets, cargo pants, a varsity jacket, acid wash tees adorned with REFUSE iconography, and more.
The limited-edition range is now available in 48 selected Mr Price stores, online at mrprice.com and
on the Mr Price app.
