The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will be screening 16 of the Rugby World Cup 2023 matches in partnership with MultiChoice.
This announcement comes just before the tournament’s kickoff this Friday. The SABC has been working hard to make sure they can bring this highly anticipated sporting event to their viewers.
Now, thanks to this agreement, even more people will be able to enjoy the games.
MultiChoice’s SuperSport also confirmed the agreement, stating that they’ll be sub-licensing the broadcast rights to the SABC. This means that a broader audience will have access to the thrilling rugby action.
“MultiChoice can confirm that, following acceptance by the SABC of a proposal made by MultiChoice, it has reached an agreement in principle to sub-licence broadcast rights to the SABC for Rugby World Cup 2023. A total of 16 matches may be broadcast by the SABC.”
