AKA, Burna Boy, K.O and Black Sherif nominated for 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards

The Black Entertainment Television (BET) has just dropped the list of nominees for the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, and Burna Boy has emerged as the local frontrunner with a remarkable seven nominations.


The 18th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards for the year 2023 are all set to recognize and celebrate the remarkable achievements in Hip-Hop music across 17 distinct categories.

Burna Boy earned seven nominations across categories that include Hip-hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year, and Hustler of the Year.

Meanwhile, the late AKA was nominated for Best International Flow, going head-to-head in the same category with K.O and Ghana’s Black Sherif.

The BET Hip Hop Awards 2023 will be recorded in Atlanta, GA, on Tuesday, 03 October 2023, and will be televised on Tuesday, 10 October 2023.
