Nigerian superstar, Rema has landed another huge milestone with his hit jam “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez reaching over 1 billion streams on Spotify. This marks “Calm Down” as the first African artist-led track to join Spotify’s exclusive “Billions Club.”

Rema consistently ranks among Spotify’s top 10 most-streamed Afrobeats artists, making it no surprise that “Calm Down” achieved this historic feat in just over a year.

This achievement underscores Rema’s growing global influence and the immense power of cross-cultural musical fusion. Collaborating with American artist Selena Gomez, Rema created a musical sensation that resonated worldwide.

The song is also doing well on the Billboard charts, now standing at number 11 on the Hot 100 charts for over 52 weeks.

Exceeding 1 billion streams on Spotify showcases the song’s universal appeal and Rema’s ability to create music that transcends borders.

This achievement celebrates the power of music to unite cultures and inspire artists to create authentic, boundary-pushing music. Rema’s accomplishment solidifies his position as a musical trailblazer, promising an exciting new chapter in his career.
