Showmax‘s hit drama series ‘Adulting‘ has been renewed for a second season.
The first season, comprised of eight episodes, premiered on March 20, 2023.
Tshedza confirms that all four lead cast are returning for Season 2.
Thembinkosi Mthembu (as Bonga), Nhlanhla Kunene (Eric), Thabo Rammusi (as Mpho), and Luthando BU Mthembu (as Vuyani). Breakout star Londeka Shishi is also returning as Nkanyezi.
Adulting tracks the lives of four friends in Johannesburg, whose close-knit friendship endures despite their divergent paths since university. While striving to mature into adulthood, seeking love, achievements, and the finest nightlife spots in Jozi, they rely on one another for humor and encouragement.
The 18SN drama achieved a remarkable milestone by setting a new record for the highest number of first-day views on Showmax among all drama series, surpassing even the highly acclaimed Succession S4, The Last of Us S1, and The White Lotus S2, which are the top three most-nominated shows at the forthcoming 75th Emmy Awards.
As for now details of season 2 are under wraps.
