South African knitwear brand MAXHOSA AFRICA announced that it will be opening its first international flagship store in Manhattan, New York City.
Scheduled for a February 2024 opening at the SoHo district (“South of Houston Street”), the New York City store will be sharing the neighborhood with fashion luminaries like Prada, Acne, Céline, and Rick Owens.
Established in 2010, MAXHOSA AFRICA has swiftly evolved into a local design powerhouse, embodying African luxury by celebrating Xhosa culture through the use of fine wool and other luxurious materials.
Owned by Laduma Ngxokolo, the brand has nicely expanded its reach locally with stores in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
