Shazam has rolled out a new feature that allows users to identify music while wearing headphones.
This update enables users to recognize music playing around them or within apps, such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, even when wearing headphones—whether wired or Bluetooth.
To utilize this feature, users can open the Shazam app, check for the headphone icon to confirm that their headphones are connected, and then initiate the music recognition process.
This enhancement addresses a common scenario where users want to identify songs they come across in various apps or platforms, extending the app’s functionality beyond just identifying music in the environment.
When attempting to Shazam a song on your device, whether it’s playing on YouTube, TikTok, a Soundcloud mix, or any other app, you can tap the headphone symbol on the Shazam screen. This prompts Shazam to attempt identification, making it a versatile tool for recognizing music across different platforms.
With this update, Shazam users can enjoy a more seamless music identification experience, making it easier to discover and identify songs.
