With several stores across the globe, the coffee and sandwich chain Pret A Manger, widely known as Pret, will be opening in South Africa in 2024.
Pret A Manger – means ‘Ready to Eat’ in French.
Pret’s offerings include coffee, freshly made salads, sandwiches, wraps, fruit pots, cold beverages, and sweet & savoury snacks.
The first Pret A Manger store is set to open in Johannesburg and will later expand to other cities, including Cape Town, Pretoria, and Durban.
This will mark the first African outing for Pret A Manger in South Africa, joining the 650 stores in other parts of the world—thanks to its partnership with the local Millat Group, which has signed the license to open Pret stores across South Africa and to expand.
Pret A Manger’s contenders include Starbucks and Krispy Kreme.
