Set against the backdrop of the dangerous private security industry, Empini is a high-stakes drama that follows Ndoni Themba (played by Nambitha Ben-Mazwi), a deeply troubled private security bodyguard on a quest for answers. Ndoni’s journey is fraught with danger, intrigue, and personal turmoil as she navigates the complexities of her profession and personal life.

Nambitha Ben-Mazwi as Ndoni Themba, the central character grappling with inner demons and external threats in her role as a bodyguard. Siyabonga Thwala, stars as Khaya Bhodoza, Ndoni’s mentor, and a prominent businessman and political stalwart.

Empini also stars Owen Sejake as General Moeti, Charmaine Mtinta as Dorah Themba, and Neo Ntlatleng as Ghathuso Moeti, along with Sparky Xulu, Simphiwe Nkabinde, Kabelo Thai, Amahle Khumalo, Joseph Sedibo, Terrence Ngwila and Ernest Ndlovu.

With the first two episodes now streaming on Showmax, viewers have taken to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts and reactions. Early feedback highlights the show’s intense action sequences, gripping storyline, and stellar performances by the lead actors.

Empini offers a unique glimpse into the often unseen and high-pressure world of private security. With a combination of action, drama, and deep character exploration, the series promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
