It’s all eyes and talk on design and art this week as Decorex Cape Town kicks off in the Mother City.
The popular Africa’s premier decor and design exhibition is set for 6th to 9th June 2024 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).
For those who don’t know, the exhibition showcases the latest industry trends, designs, products, and services in sectors such as furniture, lighting, textiles, art, fashion and accessories.
The event will provide visitors with an opportunity to explore a diverse range of offerings from established brands and emerging talents. The exhibition will feature interactive installations, live demonstrations, workshops, talks, and networking opportunities.
For Joburg fans, the event is happening on 01 – 04 August 2024 at Sandton Convention Centre.

Samsung Bespoke Cooking Theatre 2024:
The Samsung Bespoke Cooking Theatre will feature live cooking demos from renowned local chefs, showcasing their favorite dishes using the latest Samsung appliances. This year’s lineup includes:
– Jade de Waal & Jocelyn Myers – Adams from Food Jams
– Prebooked for Mira Chefs
– Chef Burton Leo from Culinary Academy South Africa
– Chef Imtiyaaz Hart, a Tastemasters Finalist
– Mash Mugwena from Meals with Mash
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from these kitchen maestros, view their cooking on state-of-the-art TV screens, and even taste their culinary creations.
Future Talks:
Future Talks is a groundbreaking series designed to delve into the most transformative topics shaping our world today. Storyteller and director, Bathandwa Ngwendu, will be the MC for Future Talks.
These talks emphasize transdisciplinary co-creation, fostering collaboration across various fields to innovate and solve complex problems. Future Talks is a beacon for thought leaders, innovators, and change-makers, offering insights and fostering discussions that aim to influence and accelerate positive change in our rapidly evolving global landscape.
Lexus Designer Pods:
Real luxury is thoughtfully considered and gracefully delivered. The Lexus Designer Pods feature four of the top interior designers, each invited to participate in this exclusive showcase at Decorex Cape Town. The designers had the opportunity to test drive the latest Lexus models (RX 450h+ and RX 500h) and draw inspiration from their experience to create unique spaces that reflect their chosen Lexus pillar. Each pod will be filled with expression, texture, personality, and a deep reflection of Lexus core values.
