Commenting on what the store brings to New York and New Yorkers…
Founder and Chief Creative Director, Laduma Ngxokolo, said:
“What we are doing differently is that we are for the first time, putting in efforts to curate the space, specifically for the store to fit within the vibe of New Yorkers. New Yorkers are an edgy market. So we have specially curated the space to suit their lifestyle and what we think they need.”
Adding to why the MAXHOSA AFRICA deserves to be in New York….
Ngxokolo said:
“I think MAXHOSA deserves to be in New York because we have taken extra care in everything that we do, which is what believe the true definition of Luxury should be. New York is on top of the world and we are in New York as a stepping stone for us to be on top of the world.”
Established in 2010, MAXHOSA AFRICA has swiftly evolved into a local design powerhouse, embodying African luxury by celebrating Xhosa culture through the use of fine wool and other luxurious materials.
Owned by Laduma Ngxokolo, the brand has nicely expanded its reach locally with stores in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
