South African Breweries (SAB) is expanding its product lineup with Corona Cero, an alcohol-free beer with Vitamin D.
This new addition is designed to cater to the evolving preferences of consumers, especially the health-conscious Gen Z demographic, who are increasingly turning towards non-alcoholic beverages.
If you recall, last year we did a piece on the rising trend of non-alcoholic beverages and how this is reshaping the market and drinking culture.
This trend is particularly strong among Gen Z consumers, who show less interest in alcohol compared to previous generations. SAB’s move is part of a broader strategy to diversify its offerings and meet the shifting demands of consumers.
The key features of Corona Cero include its zero alcohol content, making it suitable for those who prefer or need to avoid alcohol, and its enrichment with Vitamin D, promoting health benefits and tapping into the wellness trend.
It is available in the classic 355ml bottle and the newer 410ml can, offering consumers flexibility in their choice of packaging.
Corona Cero promises a refreshing and crisp finish with a clear, brilliant pale golden color, maintaining the quality and sensory appeal that beer lovers expect from Corona.
Corona Cero joins a robust lineup of non-alcoholic options already popular in the market, including Heineken® 0.0, Savanna 0.0% Alcohol Free, Castle Free, Tanqueray 0.0%, and Belgravia non-alcoholic Gin Dry Lemon.
From June onwards, Corona Cero will be available in leading retail outlets and beverage establishments across South Africa. This launch not only enhances SAB’s portfolio but also provides consumers with a healthier alternative without sacrificing taste or enjoyment.
