Levi’s and McLaren Racing have linked up for their first collab, presenting the Levi’s x McLaren Racing Collection.
This unique partnership merges vintage charm with contemporary style, celebrating the storied histories of both brands through a range of meticulously designed apparel.
Central to the Levi’s x McLaren Racing Collection are pieces inspired by McLaren Racing’s illustrious past and Levi’s iconic designs. The collection includes standout items like the Racing Jacket, Racing Suit, Racing Gloves, Heritage Trucker, Heritage 501 Jeans, Constructors Tee, and Racing Bandana, each crafted to embody the essence of both brands.
The Racing Jacket, with its cropped boxy fit, showcases chain stitch embroidery on the back, twill taping at the cuff and hem, and a satin liner with an embossed veg tan leather co-branded patch. This piece epitomizes the fusion of McLaren Racing’s vintage spirit with Levi’s craftsmanship.
Meanwhile, the Racing Suit combines comfort with style, featuring a slight drop crotch, roomy fit, and straight leg. Vintage-inspired patches, crackle print details, and a veg tan leather zipper pull pay homage to McLaren Racing’s legacy on the track.
Adding to the collection’s allure are the Racing Gloves, meticulously crafted from Italian leather. They feature perforation patterns inspired by McLaren Racing’s archival graphics, a Levi’s shank closure, and details such as Bruce McLaren’s embroidered signature and the debossed McLaren logo—a testament to meticulous design.
Denim aficionados will appreciate the Heritage 501 Jeans, adorned with vintage-inspired patches and a crackle print shadow pocket. A red tape welt zipper pocket and co-branded back patch honor McLaren’s iconic cars from the 1980s.
Completing the lineup, the Constructors Tee boasts a printed graphic of an ‘80s McLaren race car, while the Racing Bandana infuses Levi’s western motifs with ‘80s McLaren graphics.
For those who wanna cop this collection, the official release is on 3 July on Levi.co.za and select Levi’s Stores.
