The Air Max Sunder originally debuted in 1999 as the Air Sunder Max, initially designed as a cross-training shoe and quickly became a lifestyle favourite due to its comfort and futuristic Y2K design.
In 2022, Nike shook hands with Comme des Garçons (CDG) to put a new spin on this model, and fast forward to 2024, the Swoosh brand will be dropping several colourways. This includes the upcoming Canyon Gold rendition.
The Nike Air Max Sunder features a neoprene material on the upper with a zippered shroud. It boasts visible Air bubbles in the forefoot and heel for maximum impact protection and cushioning. Unzipping the shroud reveals ‘6453’, a nod to Nike’s global office numbers (which spell out N-I-K-E on the keypad).
