The eight-episode series follows the partyful Nina (played by Amara Okereke), who wakes up on Camps Bay Beach with no clothes and all her belongings gone after a wild night. A group of friends welcomes her into their commune, while she figures out how to move on after that.

Ninaโ€™s life goes through a wave of morning-after scenes as she tries to juggle her new life and make an extra buck, all while battling her addiction to alcohol.

Back in Birmingham, Nina’s demanding family disapproves of her lifestyle in the new city.

Created by Thierry Cassuto and Karen Jeynes, the series also stars Tarryn Wyngaard as lawyer Cleo, who is in a complicated relationship with Mandisa (Gaosi Raditholo).

Carmen Pretorius and Richard Gau play the rich siblings at the heart of Ninaโ€™s Cape Town home, Michaela and Justin. While Michaela embraces her inner artist and passion for control, Justin struggles to create his own business and impress his parents.

Completing the ensemble are Danica Jones as the no-nonsense camerawoman Pauline and Khaya Dladla as the bar runner and nightclub impresario Tarquin, possibly the two most grounded characters in Ninaโ€™s world.

Directed by Cindy Lee and Karen Jeynes, The Morning After is a must-watch for its beautiful cinematography, solid storyline, and breathtaking Cape Town scenery.
