Apple has just debuted its highly anticipated iPhone 16 lineup, featuring the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The new models come with upgraded hardware, improved cameras, fresh tweaks on the design, and a number of new features.
The much-talked about is the Camera Control button which lets users quickly access the camera and capture photos or videos with a simple tap. This design allows for instantaneous launching of the camera, taking photos, and starting video recordings.
For photos, we now have Photographic Styles in the camera app to lit up your snaps. These styles can be applied in real-time, during post-processing, or even reversed after capturing, offering unmatched flexibility for users who want to fine-tune their photos.
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max comes packed with the A18 Pro chip and a 48MP Fusion camera that can shoot 4K120fps video in Dolby Vision. The 5x Telephoto and Ultra Wide cameras also shine for zoom and macro shots.The 5x Telephoto and Ultra-Wide cameras enable enhanced zoom and macro shots, making these Pro models perfect for both pro creators and everyday users who want top-tier photo and video quality. Design-wise, the Pro models sport a sleek titanium build, ultra-thin borders, and improved battery life.
The standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus also come equipped with Camera Control, Apple Intelligence, and a versatile 48MP Fusion camera. The new A18 chip bumps up the performance and better battery life.
The new models will launch in South Africa on 20 September, with pre-orders open from 13 September. iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be available in black, white, natural, and desert titanium. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will come in black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine.
