Kendrick Lamar is reportedly planning a major stadium tour next year, this is after declining to headline the 2025 Coachella festival.
Bloomberg reported that the festival was targeting Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna as headliners for its 2025 edition in an effort to boost its reputation after recent challenges.
Kendrick has been the center of attention, from his beef with Drake to his upcoming Super Bowl LIX halftime performance in February, leaving fans excited for his forthcoming rumored stadium tour.
His South African stop at Hey Neighbour last year still has us hooked, and with his rumored stadium tour, could South Africa or other African countries be on his radar?
In 2023, we saw Burna Boy kick off a stadium tour with stops in London, Paris, Arnhem, and New York City, eventually scheduling a date for FNB Stadium in South Africa. But unfortunately, the concert was later canceled.
Could we see Kendrick follow suit and expand his tour to Africa, including South Africa, and make this a reality?
Last year, Kendrick stopped in Rwanda to headline the first Move Afrika event on December 6 at BK Arena, wrapping up his tour at the Hey Neighbour festival in South Africa.
News reports suggest the rapper is booking venues for a 2025 tour, likely covering both the USA and international locations, though no dates have been confirmed yet.
With that looming and talks of a new studio album ahead, Kendrick Lamar is set for an impressive year that will strengthen his position as a leading voice in hip-hop.
