Over the weekend (1-3 November), Vans brought the heat to Braamfontein with the #HouseOfVans event, an epic three-day celebration of street culture and music. The event was packed with energy, drawing in crowds for a lineup that combined the best in skateboarding, workshops, art, and live performances.
Music fans were treated to electrifying sets from artists like Little Simz, Muzi, Internet Girl, K.Keed, Marcus Harvey, lordkez, and Ebumnandini, among others, who lit up the stage and kept the vibes high all weekend.
The skateboarding scene was just as lively, with various crews showing off their skills and giving attendees the chance to participate in hands-on workshops. Fans had the unique opportunity to build and customize their own skateboards, adding a personal touch to their experience.
Meanwhile, the art scene was alive and vibrant, with exhibitions from local talents like Crispy Skateboards, David Shiffman, Grant McLachlan, Chenai Gwandure, Melissa Williams, Tkay Modise, and Kyle Kheswa. Each artist showcased the essence of skateboarding and street culture, capturing the spirit of Johannesburg’s creative landscape.
Adding to the excitement, Vans set up a pop-up retail space featuring top local brands like Milk Eyewear, Broke, Bantu Records, Franasonic, Studio Bananaaa, Shelflife, Sealand Gear, and Baseline Skate Shop.
