Salehe Bembury’s ongoing collaboration with New Balance continues, this time adding a unique twist to the 530 model.
The New Balance 530 collaboration, titled “Prosperity Be the Prize,” showcases a vibrant green design inspired by Salehe’s hike through Kyoto’s iconic bamboo forest. The shoe combines a mesh upper, nubuck overlays, synthetic accents, and the 530’s signature segmented sole, all in electric green tones that reflect the towering bamboo. Sky blue, purple highlights, and a deep leaf green outsole add contrast, symbolizing glimpses of sky and other vegetation seen through the dense forest.
