South Africa’s very own Tyla made waves at the 2024 MTV EMAs, bringing home an impressive three awards.
Hosted by Rita Ora, the annual event took place at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester, England, on Sunday, 10 November, with performances from global stars including Tyla, Benson Boone, Shawn Mendes, RAYE, Teddy Swims, and more.
Tyla took center stage, winning awards for Best Afrobeats, Best R&B, and Best African Act. Her triumph at the EMAs adds another milestone to her stellar year, highlighting her impact on the international music scene.
The South African songstress also delivered one of the most memorable performances with her hits “Push 2 Start” and “Water.”
Taylor Swift emerged as the biggest winner overall, scooping up multiple awards, including Best Artist, Best Live, Best U.S. Act, and Best Video for her hit “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone.
