Pearl Thusi will take the hot seat for the upcoming Comedy Central Roast.
She will be taking blows from the solid panel which includes Phat Joe, Zee Nxumalo, David Kau, Zodwa Wabantu, Randall Abrahams, Busiswa, Farieda “Pharoahfi” Metsileng, Donald along with Rob van Vuuren, Tol Ass Mo, and the iconic Mam’ Lillian Dube.
The stage is set for an unforgettable showdown at the Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City, on Thursday, 21 November 2024, with all the hilarity recorded for broadcast on Comedy Central (DStv Channel 122) on 8 December 2024.
Pearl Thusi, famously outspoken and unapologetically bold, will join the ranks of past icons like Kenny Kunene, Somizi Mhlongo, AKA, and Khanyi Mbau.
Tol Ass Mo brings his no-holds-barred wit to the panel, ready to spare no one. “Nothing – and no one – is sacred in the fame game,” he warns. “Pearl may be ready, but Roast audiences better brace themselves. We’re toppling all the sacred cows!”
Mam’ Lillian Dube, the beloved acting veteran, proves that royalty doesn’t hold back. “These youngsters have a lot to learn, and this gogo isn’t shy about handing out lessons. Pearl will get the royal tongue-lashing she deserves!”
