Coachella has unveiled its highly anticipated 2025 line-up featuring African stars.
Representing the continent are South Africa’s afro-electronic jock Desiree, Naija superstar Rema, Afrobeat star Seun Kuti, Grammy-winning SA singer Tyla, and Ghanaian artist Amaarae.
They will join an eclectic mix of global talent at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, over two weekends: 11-13 April and 18-20 April 2025.
For Tyla, this marks an exciting comeback after canceling her Coachella debut earlier this year due to health concerns.
The festival has so far hosted the likes of Black Coffee, Uncle Waffles, Major League DJz, and DBN Gogo. This year’s African representation is another testament to the global rise of Afrobeat and Afro-electronic music, as artists from the continent continue to gain recognition on the world stage.
Headlining the festival are industry heavyweights Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott, further solidifying Coachella’s reputation as the ultimate melting pot of music and art.
With over 125,000 attendees annually, Coachella is not just a music festival—it’s a cultural phenomenon, drawing fans from all corners of the globe to experience groundbreaking performances, unforgettable moments, and the vibrancy of creative expression.
