PANTONE SUNDAYS wrapped up its season finale this past weekend (01 December 2024), uniting the vibrant people of Joburg for an unforgettable day filled with good vibes, bold style, and an epic DJ lineup. Held at The Playground in Braamfontein, the event embraced the theme ‘Green Zone,’ teaming up with culture hub YOMZANSI and football-lifestyle brand Kasi Flavour for a dynamic collaboration that brought creativity to life.
As you stepped into the venue, the energy was undeniable. The first floor transported attendees to a soccer-inspired wonderland, showcasing a green-painted soccer field wall booth, a stadium-style bench, and Kasi Flavour’s pop-up space stealing the show. It was impossible to miss the brand’s latest drop, showcasing their signature knitwork magic. Highlights included reimagined pieces like the 1999-2000 Bafana Bafana football jerseys and a revamped version of their iconic ’98 World Cup jersey.
Up on the second floor, you were greeted by a wave of pure energy as the crowd filled the lively space, basking in the festive atmosphere while a well-positioned DJ booth set the party's tone.
YOMZANSI’s pop-up lounge stood out as a stylish centerpiece, offering a chic oasis amidst the high-energy setting. With its clean setup showcasing YMZ merch, including T-shirts and accessories, the lounge was a perfect chill spot for those wanting to catch their breath between sets—while offering great views of the crowd.
And let’s not forget the exclusive PANTONE SUNDAYS x YOMZANSI T-shirt release, a standout collaboration that added a collectible touch to the day.
On the music side, the event experience stayed lively thanks to the DJ lineup, which smoothly delivered sets that created a complete vibe for everyone, ranging from Hip-Hop, House, Afro House, Kwaito, and Gqom.
