The 2025 SA20 is officially on! Cricket fans across South Africa can look forward to the third season of this marquee T20 tournament, tipping off from 9 January to 8 February 2025.
Featuring 34 matches, the tournament will see six teams—Durban’s Super Giants, Joburg Super Kings, MI Cape Town, Paarl Royals, Pretoria Capitals, and Sunrisers Eastern Cape—battling it out.
Each team will play the others twice in a double round-robin format, with the top four advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs will have the top two teams facing off in Qualifier 1 for a direct ticket to the final, while the third and fourth-placed teams clash in the Eliminator to keep their championship hopes alive.
Sunrisers Eastern Cape, the defending champions and winners of the 2023 and 2024 editions, will be looking to secure a historic third consecutive title. Fans can expect unmatched cricketing drama, especially as the top four teams compete from 4 February to the grand finale on 8 February, promising an unforgettable conclusion to the season.
For those unable to make it to the stadiums, the action will be broadcast live on SuperSport, with seven matches accessible on DStv Access via SuperSport Variety 4 (Channel 209). Starting with the opening game on 9 January, right through to the nail-biting final on 8 February, fans across the country will have the chance to stay tuned to every boundary, wicket, and nail-biting moment.
