PUMA has officially launched its first-ever Portugal kits, marking the start of an exciting new chapter as the brand takes over from Nike, which had partnered with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) for 27 years.
Announced as a long-term collaboration, this partnership celebrates one of the most popular and successful national teams in the world, blending tradition with innovation.
Rooted in the Portuguese expression “por amor à camisola,” which means “for the love of the jersey,” the new kits reflect passion, pride, and a deep commitment to football. The Home kit pays homage to Portugal’s iconic colours, with the men’s jersey featuring a classic red base accentuated by gold and green detailing and a sleek crew neck collar.
The women’s version brings a fresh twist with green, mint, and black details paired with a custom crew neck design. Both jerseys are adorned with a repeating Quinas emblem pattern, drawn from the Portuguese national coat of arms, making them instantly recognizable and rich with cultural significance.
The Away kit ventures boldly into the future, reinterpreting the Quinas emblem with contemporary artistry. The men’s jersey features a white base with bespoke red and green graphics and a black crew neck collar, celebrating the fusion of art, technology, and modern football. Meanwhile, the women’s Away kit offers a mint base with striking black, red, and green graphic elements, ensuring a unique and eye-catching look.
The new Portugal kits will be available for purchase from 17 January 2025 at PUMA.com, PUMA retail stores, Sportsmans Warehouse, Totalsports, and Studio 88. Priced at R1499 for adults and R1199 for junior sizes, these kits symbolize both the legacy and the forward-thinking spirit of Portuguese football.
