Once in a while Netflix will brings us fire gems, and this is another must-watch from the streamer. We have picked “Back in Action” as our movie of the week. Starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, this action-packed movie reunites the duo from Any Given Sunday and Annie.
The movie follows Matt and Emily Reynolds, former elite CIA spies who leave their dangerous careers behind to start a family and live a quiet life. With two kids to raise, they settle into their new roles as parents.
However, Matt’s secret from their last mission resurfaces, forcing the couple back into action. During their final mission before retirement, Matt secretly kept a highly valuable ICS key, and now Belarusian terrorists are hunting them to retrieve it.
The chaos erupts when they have to have retrieve the key, and their children are kidnapped. This forces Matt and Emily to confront their past, rescue their kids, and stop their enemies. Along the way, they reconnect with their old boss Chuck, played by Kyle Chandler, and enlist the help of Ginny, played by Glenn Close, who has been safeguarding the key.
The movie features intense action sequences, including a daring speedboat chase and a showdown at London’s Tate Modern museum.
Now this is another stellar serve from Netflix, leaving no crumbs when it comes to cinematography, a solid cast, and bringing this storyline to life with an action-packed ride.
