PUMA continues to expand its Mostro line-up, unveiling the new Mostro Fey, an update to the Mostro model with a classic Mary Jane-style strap.
The Mostro Fey strikes a perfect balance between a sleek, streamlined look and the retro-futuristic vibe of the Mostro. A Mary Jane-style band across the forefoot replaces the strap closure from the original Mostro, while the stitchless upper combines technical micro-ripstop fabric and nubuck on the heel. The Formstrip-shaped contour runs across the silhouette, seamlessly combining sporty and stylish elements. The aggressive spiked outsole of the original Mostro contrasts with the minimalist upper, creating a unique fusion of sport and style.
First released in 1999 and named after the Italian word for “monster,” the Mostro was instantly celebrated for its bold design. Now, more than 25 years later, the Mostro Fey emerges as a modern street-style icon, staying true to its rebellious spirit while embracing the current moment in fashion.
This updated Mary Jane silhouette reinvents a timeless footwear archetype known for its classic shape, rounded toe, and single forefoot strap—once a hallmark of the rebellious flappers in the 1920s. Today, its design DNA is seamlessly woven into PUMA’s rich archive of sports-inspired silhouettes.
The PUMA Mostro Fey is available in “Dark Amethyst-PUMA Black” from March 1, 2025, at PUMA.com, PUMA retail stores, and Archive, priced at R2 399.
