Already renewed for a second season, Beauty in Black is the latest Tyler Perry hit on Netflix that has everyone talking.
The story takes place in Atlanta and puts the powerful Bellaire family in the centre, exploring the dark underbelly of power, crime, and ambition, all revolving around a high-end strip club at the heart of it all.
To the story we have Kimmie, a stripper desperate to escape the life but trapped in a dangerous debt to Jules, a ruthless criminal who controls the city’s underground scene. Jules is under pressure himself, caught in a dangerous alliance with the powerful Bellaire family, who own almost every business in the community.
At the center of the Bellaire empire is Mallory, the polished face of the Beauty in Black cosmetics brand. Behind the glamour, she is a cold and ruthless mastermind who will stop at nothing to protect her interests. Her marriage to Roy is falling apart, fueled by his infidelity and her growing resentment. Meanwhile, Mallory is covering up a hit-and-run, with Jules doing the dirty work to keep her name clean.

Kimmie’s best friend Angel plays a crucial role in her story, pulling her deeper into the Bellaire family’s operations. When Angel comes of age, he reveals the shocking truth about Jules, exposing his ties to an illegal trafficking ring that runs alongside his strip club business.
As secrets unravel and loyalties are tested, Beauty in Black delivers gripping drama, shocking twists, and a powerful look at ambition and survival. With the finale hinting at even bigger revelations, Season 2 is set to be even more explosive.
It’s not the end just yet, Horace, the OG, enters the story after crossing paths with Kimmie and Angel at the strip joint. The season wraps up with Horace making one last move to spite his family.
