Levi’s and Tremaine Emory’s Denim Tears come together once again, using their 4th collection as a canvas to honor New Orleans’ rich cultural legacy.
This time, the collaboration turns its lens to the Young Seminole Hunters and Big Chief Demond Melancon, honouring their artistry and community with a collection that fuses heritage with streetwear in a way only Denim Tears can. Each piece is steeped in cultural storytelling, bringing forward the vibrancy, resilience, and detail of Mardi Gras Indian tradition.
The eight-piece lineup features standout garments like the Photo Trucker and matching Photo Jeans, printed with visuals of ceremonial regalia worn by the Young Seminole Hunters. These pieces are designed with intentional imperfections; no two garments are exactly alike, echoing the handcrafted nature of the suits they depict.
The track jacket and pants play with indigo tones and color-blocked fleur-de-lis prints—a nod to the city’s French heritage. Gold rope piping brings in the energy of marching band uniforms, another thread in the cultural fabric of the city.
Other highlights include a washed black crewneck sweatshirt, a floral gingham baseball tee that nods to Southern family gatherings, and accessories like a mid-indigo durag and photo-printed hat, both continuing the collection’s theme of honoring tradition through human touch.
