Last year, adidas Originals and Brain Dead reimagined the iconic Stan Smith with a bold, collaborative twist. Now, the Los Angeles-based label returns for Spring/Summer 2025—this time turning its attention to the adidas Forest Hills, offering a fresh perspective on a court classic.
Instead of leaning into the clean-cut tradition of country club tennis, Brain Dead flips the narrative, challenging the expected aesthetic tied to the sport. The result is a collection that pushes boundaries, merging archival roots with a more expressive, offbeat attitude.
Originally launched in 1976, the Forest Hills was once the lightest tennis shoe on the market, engineered with aerospace-inspired ventilation and weighing just 8.7 ounces.
Fast forward to today, and the silhouette is reworked with hairy suede uppers, leather stripes, co-branded touches, and earthy two-tone colorways that balance heritage with experimentation. The accompanying apparel builds on this energy, infused with hand-drawn graphics and unconventional cuts across polos, track tops, tees, and shorts. It’s classic tennis style, redefined through Brain Dead’s irreverent, art-forward lens.
