Jordan Brand continues the re-imagined series, now taking on the Air Jordan 1 “UNC” with updated materials.
Originally released in 1985, the “UNC” Air Jordan 1 paid homage to Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina, with its clean white and powder blue colorway. Now, the iconic sneaker is getting the “Reimagined” treatment—a vintage-inspired update that taps into nostalgia while staying true to the original design.
This updated pair features cracked leather detailing on the toe box, quarter panels, and ankle collar to give it a worn-in look. A yellowed midsole and oxidized blue outsole add to the aged effect. Classic colour blocking remains intact, with bold powder blue overlays standing out against a smooth white base and traditional Nike Air branding on the tongue.
These come packaged in a distressed orange box and a black-and-red mismatched lid.
Look out for the Air Jordan 1 High OG “UNC Reimagined” to release on Friday, 16 May 2025, at selected local retailers, including LEMKUS and Shelflife.
The retail price is set at R3 699.00.
