DStv fees remain unchanged for May after VAT hike is scrapped

Following the April price hike.

Following the 1 April price hike, DStv had planned a further increase from 1 May—this time due to the now-cancelled government plan to raise VAT from 15% to 15.5%.



However, just a week before 1 May, Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana reversed the decision to raise VAT, keeping it at 15%.

DStv clarified that no price increase will take place: “Following the announcement that VAT won’t change, we can confirm that our pricing won’t either. Visit our website for latest pricing.”

As it stands, the new prices, which were increased from 1 April 2025, are as follows:
