‘The Bear’ returns for Season 4 in June

The Bear is back on the screens, with Season 4 officially set to debut in June on FX and Hulu—nearly a year after the full third season dropped.

The third season of the American comedy-drama series The Bear premiered with all episodes on June 26, 2024, on FX on Hulu. However, according to Rotten Tomatoes, it ended up being the lowest-rated season of the series so far.

Moving forward with the series, showrunner Joanna Calo confirmed during a red carpet interview with Omelete at Thunderbolts that The Bear Season 4 is set to premiere on Hulu on June 15.

“It will be released worldwide on 15 June. And unlike the others, this one will be more cheerful – not as down as the others, you know?” Calo said.

The Bear follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a young fine-dining chef who returns home to Chicago to run his late brother’s struggling sandwich shop. As he navigates grief, family tension, and the chaos of the kitchen, Carmy—played by Jeremy Allen White—tries to transform the failing restaurant into something new, all while grappling with his own personal demons. Alongside a dedicated yet dysfunctional crew, including sous-chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and cousin Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), the series dives deep into themes of ambition, pressure, and redemption in both food and life.

Season 4 of The Bear is set to continue exploring Sydney Adamu’s uncertain future, following the Season 3 finale that left fans wondering whether she’ll accept a new role at Chef Terry’s restaurant or stay at The Bear. With tensions still simmering between her and Carmy, the next chapter promises to unpack their evolving dynamic and the choices that could reshape their partnership.
