Once again, fashion royalty descended on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art as the 2025 Met Gala lit up New York City.
Following the 2024 edition, this year’s Costume Institute Benefit celebrated the opening of “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” a groundbreaking exhibition that “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style over three hundred years through the concept of dandyism,” per the museum.
The evening’s official dress code, “Tailored for You,” invited guests to explore refined menswear codes, personalized tailoring, and statements of individuality through fashion.
With Pharrell Williams, A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, and Lewis Hamilton serving as co-chairs alongside Vogue’s Anna Wintour—plus LeBron James stepping in as honorary chair—the 2025 Gala merged heritage and style with undeniable star power.
African icons Tyla, Burna Boy, and Tems made sure the continent was represented in style on the carpet.
