2025 marks the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5, and joining the celebration is the return of the iconic Air Jordan 5 “Grape.”
One of the original four colorways to hit shelves back in 1990, the Air Jordan 5 “Grape” has long been a cultural icon. From making waves on the court to stealing scenes on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (shoutout to Will Smith), the “Grape” 5s quickly cemented their status. They even landed a cameo on Wheaties boxes—because why not go from hardwood to breakfast table legend?
Back in its original glory, the 2025 “Grape” Jordan 5 retro comes dressed in crisp white leather with bold purple and aqua accents. Underfoot, the translucent sole keeps things fresh. This version stands out for bringing back the “Nike Air” heel branding—something we haven’t seen since the ‘90 OG (excluding the 2018 laceless Fresh Prince drop).
Look out for the Air Jordan 5 Retro OG ‘Grape’ to release on 21 June 2025 at selected local retailers, including LEMKUS and Shelflife. The retail price is set at R4,099.00.
