
The good folks at Nintendo have finally confirmed that their newest console, the ‘Switch 2,’ will hit retailers on June 5, 2025.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at R12,499, while the Console + Mario Kart World Bundle goes for R13,499.
You can pre-order the Switch 2 now via store.nintendo.co.za.
The official release date for the console and accessories is 5 June, with a wide range of games launching separately afterward.
First up, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller and standard Joy-Con 2 Controllers are both priced at R2,299.
Next, you’ll find accessories like the Switch 2 Camera (R1,499), individual Right Red and Left Blue Joy-Con controllers at R1,199 each, and the Charging Grip for R899.
Finally, essentials like the Carrying Case & Screen Protector and AC Adapter go for R799 each, while the Joy-Con 2 Wheel is R599 and the Strap is R399.
The upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger 1080p screen and can connect to a TV for up to 4K resolution*, delivering vibrant color, smooth gameplay, and support for HDR, VRR, and up to 120 fps.
