Netflix drama, Kings of Joburg is back for Season 3 this June, and while the return is exciting, there’s still a big question mark over where the story is heading.
The show has struggled to recapture the punch of its first season, especially after losing lead actor and executive producer Shona Ferguson. Season 2 didn’t quite land the same, so all eyes are on this new chapter to hopefully bring the fire back.
This season sees Connie Ferguson and Zolisa Xaluva reprise their roles as Veronica and Mo Masire, who are now caught in a storm of betrayal, uneasy alliances, and gang warfare. The Masire empire is under threat once again, with a dangerous new rival, Gavin Salat (played by Clint Brink), stepping up to bring the whole kingdom down.

To keep their legacy intact, the Masires are forced into an unlikely partnership with former enemy Aliko Bajo (Enyinna Nwigwe), setting the stage for some tense power plays. And with new faces like Maurice Paige and Keenan Arrison joining the already stacked cast, it’s clear that this season is going for a full reset.
With a mix of politics, loyalty, and street warfare, it’s all eyes on Season 3 which will stream from 13 June 2025.
