Tyla wins Best Afrobeats at 2025 MTV VMAs

Global superstar Tyla has scooped the Best Afrobeats award at the 2025 MTV VMAs (MTV Video Music Awards), claiming the win for her massive hit “PUSH 2 START.”

The moment adds another gleaming trophy to her shelf, following her iconic GRAMMY win in 2024.

She stood tall among giants—beating fellow nominees like Burna Boy, Tems, Rema, and Wizkid.

Tyla was the only African artist to walk away with a win this year, further stamping her place as one of the most influential voices shaping global music.
