It’s do-or-die for South Africa as they face Rwanda at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, in their last shot at the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Tonight, we get to see two crucial matches, including South Africa vs Rwanda and Nigeria vs Benin.

Why do these games matter? Bafana Bafana were leading Group C until they lost to Lesotho by default for using a suspended player. Now two points behind Benin, they must beat Rwanda and hope Nigeria stops Benin.

Bafana Bafana will qualify if:

  • They beat Rwanda, and Benin lose

  • They win by 3+ goals, and Benin draws

  • They win by 2 goals, Benin draws, and South Africa scores more overall

Nigeria will qualify if:

  • They beat Benin 1–0, or

  • Win by 2+ goals, and South Africa doesn’t win

Benin will qualify if:

  • They beat Nigeria

  • They draw, and South Africa doesn’t beat Rwanda by 3+ goals

  • They draw, South Africa wins by exactly 2 goals, and Benin scores more overall

  • They lose by 1 goal (but not 1–0 or 2–1), and South Africa doesn’t win
