The Idris Elba-led thriller series ‘Hijack’ is making a comeback for a second season.

Hijack Season 2 premieres on Apple TV on 14 January 2026 with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale on 25 February.

Idris Elba returns as Sam Nelson and also serves as executive producer. Christine Adams, Max Beesley, and Archie Panjabi are back, joined by new cast members including Toby Jones, Lisa Vicari, and Clare-Hope Ashitey.

In season 2 of “Hijack,” a Berlin underground train and its commuters are taken hostage, while authorities scramble to save hundreds of lives. Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the heart of the crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster.

Remember, Season 1 took us through the intense hijacking of flight KA29, with Sam Nelson using his sharp negotiation skills to prevent disaster mid-air. As the crisis came to a tense resolution, it felt like the story had ended, but clearly, there’s more to unravel.
