Basketball fans across sub-Saharan Africa are in for a massive treat! ESPN Africa has secured exclusive rights to broadcast all major FIBA (International Basketball Federation) events for the next four years.

That means over 1,500 thrilling games will air between 2025 and 2029—bringing global basketball action directly to your screens.

This partnership includes everything from the prestigious FIBA Basketball World Cups and Continental Cups to the Women’s and Youth World Cups.

Viewers can expect world-class matchups featuring elite national teams, future stars, and intense Olympic qualifiers.

ESPN will showcase the best of international tournaments while highlighting African talent competing on the global stage.

The 2027 World Cup African qualifiers begin on 27 November and end on Sunday, 30 November in Rades, Tunisia, with eight teams competing.

To catch all the games, tune in on:

  • ESPN: DStv 218 / StarTimes 248
