OUR EXPERIENCE: from Gordon’s and BOS G&Tea Spirit Cooler Launch in Joburg

Gordon’s and BOS just spiced up summer with a brand new twist, and we pulled up to experience it first. This past weekend in Joburg, the two brands celebrated the launch of their all-new G&Tea Spirit Cooler a crisp, refreshing alcoholic iced tea that blends Gordon’s iconic gin with BOS’s rooibos-powered flavour. Think light, playful and made for easy days outside.

So what’s the vibe behind this new drink? The premix is already rolling out nationwide at major retailers, offering two flavour combos lemon with mint, plus peach with rosemary. It’s a fusion that brings the best of both worlds Gordon’s sharp botanicals and BOS’s signature rooibos tea.

The launch itself captured the energy perfectly bold, bright and unmistakably fun. Guests were the first to sip on the new G&Tea while soaking in a summer atmosphere designed to bring people together. And the soundtrack was on point too, with DJs Lelowhatsgood, Mamthug and Baby Whitz keeping the groove alive all afternoon.

When we asked how this unexpected collab came to life, BOS Brands Head of Marketing, Maura van Styrum, shared:

“We started 15 years ago in iced tea, and we’ve grown into tea, cordials and beyond. Looking at the ready-to-drink alcohol space, this mix of gin and tea felt refreshing and new no one saw it coming.”

Atlegang Moloko, Head of Marketing at Diageo for Convenience Innovations across South, West and Central Africa, added:

“The beauty of this collaboration is that it brings two powerhouse brands together. BOS is South Africa’s number one iced tea, and Gordon’s is the number one gin here and globally. This mix is something truly new to the world, brought to life by two great minds and two iconic brands.”

A refreshing drink, a bold partnership and a launch that set the tone for summer. Cheers to G&Tea season.
