1984–85 Chicago Bulls season. In the summer of 1984, the team's fortunes changed when it received the third pick of the NBA draft, after Houston and Portland. The Rockets selected Hakeem Olajuwon, the Blazers selected Sam Bowie, and the Bulls picked shooting guard Michael Jordan out of the University of North Carolina.

On November 3, 1995, the Chicago Bulls played their first game of the 1995-96 NBA season. This marked the return of NBA legend Michael Jordan and his iconic #23 jersey to the hardwood. The Bulls started the regular season 41-3 and concluded with a record of 72-10, thus setting a new NBA best. Jordan's play throughout the 1995-96 season is regarded as one of, if not, the most successful individual efforts in the history of the game. Jordan played in all 100 total games of the regular season and playoffs while averaging over 30 PPG throughout the entire year.

The 1997–98 NBA season was the Bulls' 32nd season in the National Basketball Association. The Bulls entered the season as the two-time defending NBA champions, where they defeated the Utah Jazz in the 1997 NBA Finals in six games, winning their fifth NBA championship. The championship was their sixth in eight years and completed the franchise's second "3-peat".
This was Michael Jordan's last season as a Bull, as he announced his second retirement after it was over.
